These Terms govern your use of PaperLite (the "Service"), available at paperlitepdf.com. By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
PaperLite provides browser-based tools for working with PDF files (filling forms, merging, splitting, converting images, rotating pages, and removing a password from a PDF you are authorised to access). All processing happens locally in your web browser. Your files are not uploaded to, transmitted to, or stored on our servers.
You agree that you will:
The Service is a utility tool. It does not provide legal, financial, or other professional advice. Output (for example, a filled form) is generated mechanically from the inputs and positions you provide and is not reviewed by us. You are solely responsible for verifying that any document produced is accurate, complete, and fit for its intended purpose before relying on or submitting it.
The Service is provided on an "as available" basis. We may modify, suspend, add, remove, or discontinue any feature at any time without notice, including introducing usage limits or paid tiers in the future. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
The PaperLite name, design, and original code are owned by Junaid. The Service is built using open-source libraries (pdf-lib, MIT License; pdf.js, Apache License 2.0), whose respective licences and notices are acknowledged on this page. Those libraries remain the property of their authors.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Junaid shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including but not limited to data loss, corrupted or incorrectly produced documents, rejected submissions, lost profits, or business interruption, arising from or related to your use of or inability to use the Service. Your sole and exclusive remedy for dissatisfaction with the Service is to stop using it.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Junaid from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India. (Have a local lawyer confirm this clause — it is enforceable only if it matches where you actually operate.)

PaperLite performs all PDF operations locally in your browser using client-side JavaScript. When you select or drop a file, that file is read into your browser's memory on your own device, processed there, and the result is offered back to you as a download. At no point is the content of your file sent to us, our servers, or any third party. We have no ability to see, access, retain, or recover any document you process. When you close or refresh the page, the file is gone from memory.
We do not require accounts and do not knowingly collect personal information you provide. We may collect limited non-identifying technical and usage data through third-party services:
The core tools do not require cookies to function. Cookies, if present, come from optional analytics or advertising as described above. Where required by law (for example, for visitors in the EU/UK under GDPR/ePrivacy), a consent mechanism should be presented before non-essential cookies are set. (If you enable ads/analytics, add a cookie-consent banner — this is legally required for EU/UK visitors.)
Because file content is never collected, most data-protection obligations relating to document content do not arise. For the limited analytics/advertising data described above, the legal basis is your consent (where required) or our legitimate interest in operating and improving the Service. Depending on your jurisdiction (including the EU/UK under GDPR, and similar laws elsewhere), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise any right, contact juna328@gmail.com.
The Service is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will address it.
The Service is available globally. Because document content is processed only on your own device, that content does not cross borders through us. Any limited analytics/advertising data may be processed by the relevant providers in the countries where they operate, subject to their own safeguards.
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Accuracy of output. Tools such as the form filler place text and marks at positions you choose. Alignment, fit, and correctness depend on your inputs. Output is not reviewed by us. Always open and check the final document before submitting it anywhere, especially for official, legal, financial, or government use. A misaligned or incomplete document is your responsibility, not ours.
Password removal. This tool is intended only for PDFs you are lawfully entitled to access and whose password you already know. It does not break, crack, or recover unknown passwords. Using it to access documents you are not authorised to open may be illegal in your jurisdiction and is strictly prohibited under our Terms.
No guarantee of fitness. The Service may not be suitable for every document type, complex layouts, or specialised use cases. We do not guarantee that a processed file will be accepted by any third party, institution, or authority.
No liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from use of the Service, including document errors, data loss, or rejected submissions. See the Limitation of Liability section in the Terms of Service.
